Product introduction

The VE15 Insertion Electromagnetic Flowmeter is designed for large-diameter pipelines DN200…DN4000 / 8"… 160") carrying electrically conductive liquids.

Based on Faradayʼs law of electromagnetic induction, the VE15 generates a magnetic field across the measuring section. As conductive liquid flows through this field, an induced voltage proportional to the flow velocity is detected by electrodes in the insertion probe. The converter then calculates the volumetric flow rate from the measured velocity and the known pipe diameter.

With no moving parts and no internal obstructions, VE15 introduces minimal additional pressure loss, while its microprocessor-based electronics and low-frequency excitation ensure stable and repeatable measurement even under varying operating conditions. It is particularly suitable for water, wastewater, beverages, chemical feed, viscous liquids, pulp and sludge in large pipelines where conventional full-bore meters are difficult or costly to install.

Note: Correct installation (including appropriate insertion depth, alignment and upstream/downstream straight runs) is essential to achieve the specified accuracy on large-diameter pipelines.
