The LWQ Series Gas Turbine Flowmeter measures gas flow based on the kinetic energy principle. Incoming gas is first conditioned by an inlet flow straightener, which eliminates swirl, turbulence, and asymmetry, creating a laminar flow profile. The conditioned gas then impinges on a multi-blade turbine rotor, causing it to rotate. The rotational speed of the rotor is directly proportional to the gas velocity. An inductive or magnetic sensor detects the rotor's movement and outputs a frequency signal corresponding to the volumetric flow rate. When equipped with temperature and pressure sensors, the meter can compute standardized flow (Nm³/h) via real-time compensation algorithms.
