Product introduction

The SA80T-TP Series is a temperature and pressure compensated version of the SA80T.

In gas and steam applications, the volumetric flow measured by the swirl flowmeter is highly dependent on process temperature and pressure. To ensure accurate calculation of mass flow or standard volume flow, the SA80T Series supports integrated temperature and pressure compensation.

An external or built-in RTD temperature sensor and pressure transducer are used to continuously monitor the actual operating conditions. These real-time values are fed into the flowmeter’s signal processor, which calculates compensated flow using the ideal gas law or relevant steam tables.

SA80T-TP Enhanced Version (with T/P Compensation):
★ TP Model Real Mass or Standard Volume Flow Output:
By dynamically compensating for temperature and pressure, the TP version outputs true mass flow (kg/h, t/h) or standardized volumetric flow (Nm³/h), which is critical for energy balancing, consumption analysis, and accurate billing in steam and gas systems.

★ TP Model Adaptability to Process Variations
Unlike standard versions that assume constant conditions, the TP model automatically adjusts for real-time changes in process temperature and pressure, ensuring stable and accurate readings under fluctuating load conditions.

★ TP Model Improved Control Accuracy in Steam and Gas Flow Loops
In temperature- and pressure-sensitive control loops, TP compensation helps eliminate density-related flow deviations, enhancing closed-loop control accuracy for steam valves, gas mixers, or combustion control.
