The MA80T Series Vortex Flowmeter operates based on the Kármán vortex street principle. As fluid flows past a bluff body (typically a triangular shedder bar), alternating vortices form downstream at a frequency proportional to the flow velocity. These vortices generate pressure fluctuations, which are detected by a piezoelectric, allowing for accurate and stable flow rate calculation.
