MA80T Vortex Flow Meter Successfully Certified with Russian PAC After On-Site Witness Tests at VNER

A Russian metrology expert visited VNER to witness tests on the MA80T vortex flow meter. Based on the witnessed trials, environmental tests and calibration procedures, the MA80T has now successfully obtained PAC certification.

Overview

VNER’s MA80T vortex flow meter has successfully obtained PAC certification from a Russian metrology authority.

As part of the certification process, a metrology expert from Russia, accompanied by a Chinese engineer as interpreter, visited VNER’s factory to witness key tests and review supporting documentation.

On-Site Witness Tests and Evaluation

During the visit, the Russian expert:

• observed type tests of the MA80T vortex flow meter under defined operating conditions;
• reviewed selected environmental and reliability tests carried out according to the relevant procedures;
• followed the calibration workflow, including reference standards, test points and basic stability checks;
• examined sample calibration reports and essential technical documents.

All tests were performed in accordance with VNER’s internal quality procedures and the requirements communicated for PAC certification.

Documentation and Certification Result

Following the on-site witness tests:

• VNER finalized the corresponding test and calibration reports;
• the complete documentation package was submitted to the Russian metrology authority;
• the MA80T vortex flow meter has now been officially granted PAC certification.

This certification confirms that the MA80T meets the specified technical and documentation requirements for use in the Russian market within the defined scope.

Significance for the Russian and CIS Markets

With PAC certification in place, VNER is better positioned to support projects in Russia and the CIS that require certified vortex flow meters.
