Product introduction

The MA80T Series Vortex Flowmeter is a Kármán vortex street flow meter for the measurement of steam, gases and liquids.

As the medium flows past a bluff body (typically a triangular shedder bar), alternating vortices are formed downstream. The vortex shedding frequency is proportional to the flow velocity and is detected by a piezoelectric sensor. From this frequency, the flowmeter calculates the volumetric flow rate.

With no moving parts and a robust flow body, MA80T provides stable, real-time flow measurement over a wide operating range, making it suitable for utility and process duties in demanding industrial environments.
